Clarke cut the ribbon to their new HQ with Eamonn Holmes!
A proud day for Clarke and the Mid and East Antrim Borough as the specialist façade contractor officially opened the doors to its new Head Office and Fabrication Development
Celebrating 25 years in business, Clarke is a family owned and run construction company situated on the Raceview Road in Broughshane, taking residence in Michelins old training centre. Hosted by Eamonn Holmes, co-host of GB News Breakfast Show, Clarke welcomed friends, family, corporate partners, and the wider team to cut the ribbon of their new home and close out the celebrations with a family fun day afterwards.
Founded by Company Chairman Michael Clarke in the mid-90’s, the business has grown from strength to strength with son Eugene now leading the company as Managing Director. Just 4 years ago, the company upped its roots from Portglenone to the Ecos Centre, spring-boarding the companies’ success in the façade industry.
Working on large scale construction projects, primarily in Mainland UK, Clarke have a strong portfolio of projects for Tier 1 clients including Morgan Sindall, John Sisk, Berkeley Group and Balfour Beatty. Their new home houses their Head Office and Advanced Offsite Facility, which manufactures and assembles aluminium windows, doors, curtain wall and unitised glazing. Their new Head Office, a 1960’s building has been carefully repurposed and modernised into state-of-the-art office accommodation, purposely exposing original features internally to maintain the heritage of the building whilst using Clarkes skillset to modernise the building in terms of use, energy efficiency and aesthetics. The repurposing of the original building has ensured a lower carbon footprint, and now operates with 100% renewable electricity. The building features Clarkes very own unitised curtain wall system along with interfaces of other cladding and curtain wall systems from their supply chain.
Invigorated to house the office and manufacturing branch of the business with advanced machinery and equipment, design, pre-construction, estimating and business support teams, Clarke have put their people at the core of their new premises. Since 2020, the company have increased their headcount by 30% and now employ circa 100 people. The £4m Head Office investment has enabled the company to enhance its capabilities and offering, and secure new clients to its supply chain whilst tapping into new markets within the construction industry.
It’s great to see a local family run company continue to perform and invest in its people, machinery, and premises. Eugene Clarke, Managing Director at Clarke comments, “As we embark on the next chapter at Clarke, we celebrate 25 years of development and growth, our unique blend of diversity, expert talent, grit, and culture coupled with our new Head Office development will enable us to strive toward our vision and make our mark in the construction industry”.
