  • Local government and its role in driving economic growth and securing investment has never been more important. We have a clear vision to deliver this in establishing the area as Northern Ireland's CleanTech hub .

  • We play a key role in major investment initiatives like the Belfast Region City Deal, which is set to bring up to £1 billion in investment, create approximately 20,000 jobs, and enhance prosperity throughout the region. As part of this effort, Mid and East Antrim has secured £80 million in funding to drive economic development and growth in our area.

  • Furthermore, work is underway in the transformation of the 15 hectare (37 acre) Saint Patrick’s Barracks site situated in Ballymena, which upon completion will deliver some £160m+ of investment. The mixed use site will comprise of housing and leisure facilities, the new Northern Regional College campus and new i4C innovation and Cleantech Centre.
