  • Mid and East Antrim is a strong, vibrant, safe and inclusive community where people work together to improve the quality of life for all.

  • Local government and its role in driving economic growth and securing investment has never been more important. We have a clear vision to deliver this in establishing the area as Northern Ireland's CleanTech hub .

  • We are a major part of investment projects such as the Belfast Region City Deal, which will deliver up to £1 billion of investment, create around 20,000 jobs and boost prosperity across the region. As a result, Mid and East Antrim has secured £80 million of funding from this project to encourage economic development in our area.

  • Furthermore, work is underway in the transformation of the 15 hectare (37 acre) Saint Patrick’s Barracks site situated in Ballymena, which upon completion will deliver some £160m+ of investment. The mixed use site will comprise of housing and leisure facilities, new Northern Regional College campus and new i4C innovation and Cleantech Centre.
