Mid & East Antrim

Mid and East Antrim is a strong, vibrant, safe and inclusive community where people work together to improve the quality of life for all.

Local government and its role in driving economic growth and securing investment has never been more important. We have a clear vision to deliver this in establishing the area as Northern Ireland's CleanTech hub .

We are a major part of investment projects such as the Belfast Region City Deal, which will deliver up to £1 billion of investment, create around 20,000 jobs and boost prosperity across the region. As a result, Mid and East Antrim has secured £80 million of funding from this project to encourage economic development in our area.

Furthermore, work is underway in the transformation of the 15 hectare (37 acre) Saint Patrick’s Barracks site situated in Ballymena, which upon completion will deliver some £160m+ of investment. The mixed use site will comprise of housing and leisure facilities, new Northern Regional College campus and new i4C innovation and Cleantech Centre.
