Retail outlets & town centre proposals
There are three main town centres offering investment opportunities in the Borough; Ballymena, Carrickfergus and Larne, all providing great retail and office opportunities, both on the High Street and within Shopping Centres.
Mid & East Antrim Borough Council is currently working with local stakeholders to develop Town Centre Strategies which will address the decline of the High Street. This includes the Living Over Shop Initiative, the development of an Evening Economy and developing Events Programmes to help drive footfall and improve the local economy.
Town Centre Regeneration forms part of Amplify, our Integrated Economic Development Strategy and Council is working hard to enhance the appearance of our towns, securing funding and investment in Public Realm Schemes and new Seasonal Lighting.
